Town Hall Usage Notice:
The Selectmen would like to remind everyone that if you want to use the Town Hall you need to fill out a use of hall contract and have it approved by the Selectmen. Also if wanting to borrow tables or chairs you also need to fill out a contract and have it approved by the Selectmen. Anyone who has a key to the Town Hall is not suppose to give the key to anyone else without approval of the Selectmen. If you have a key for coaching you are only allowed to use the hall for scheduled practices and games you need to fill out a contract for any other uses.

Pursuant to RSA 31:95-b the Monroe Board of Selectmen
Will hold a public hearing on Tuesday September 12,2017
at 7:00 P.M. at the Monroe Town Office for the purpose of
receiving public comment concerning the acceptance and
expenditure of the following unanticipated revenues.
SB-38 receipt of $28,751.55 of unanticipated funds from the
State of New Hampshire Highway Block Grant Aid. No funds
appropriated shall be used for supplementing locally budgeted
and approved funds for road or bridge maintenance or construction.
STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
TO THE INHABITANTS OF THE TOWN OF MONROE IN THE COUNTY OF GRAFTON IN STATE, QUALIFIED TO VOTE IN TOWN AFFAIRS:
You are hereby notified to meet at the Monroe Town Hall on Tuesday, the 14th day of March next at 7:00 of the clock in the P.M. to act upon the following subjects: with the Town Business Meeting. Preceeding the School Business Meeting
1. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing.
2. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $1,018,136.00 (operating budget only) for general operations. This article does not include special or individual articles addressed.
3. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000.00 for the Highway Loader Capital Reserve Fund previously established. (The Selectmen Recommend This Article)
4. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000.00 to be added to the Fire Truck Capital Reserve Fund previously established. (The Selectmen Recommend This Article)
5. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000.00 to be added to the Highway Department Truck Capital Reserve Fund previously established.(The Selectmen Recommend This Article)
6. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000.00 to be added to the Fire Department Equipment Fund previously established. (The Selectmen Recommend This Article)
7. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $6,790.00 to be added to the Post Office Building Expendable Trust Fund with said funds to come from surplus. (The Selectmen Recommend This Article)
8. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $10,000.00 to be placed in the Town Buildings Maintenance Expendable Trust Fund previously established with such funds to come from surplus.(The Selectmen Recommend This Article)

13 .To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $10,000.00 to be added to the Assessing Trust Fund previously established with such funds to come from surplus. (The Selectmen Recommend This Article.
14. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $ 3,500.00 to remove the buildings on the former Shafer Property and clean up the land.(The Selectmen Recommend This Article)
15. To see if the Town will vote to establish an Expendable Trust Fund for road maintenance, paving and culvert work and to raise and appropriate $ 200,000.00 with said funds to come from surplus. Furthermore to name the Selectmen as agents to this fund. (The Selectmen Recommend This Article)
16. To see if the Town will vote to establish an Expendable Trust Fund for the purpose of the Library Building and to raise and appropriate $3,160.00 to put into a Library Building Trust Fund with said funds to come from surplus. Furthermore to name the Library Trustees as agents to this fund. ( The Selectmen Recommend This Article)
17. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate $250.00 to be added to the Cemetery Maintenance Fund previously established with said funds to come from surplus. (The Selectmen Recommend This Article)
18. To see if the Town will vote to amend the standard Veteran’s Tax Credit to the All Veteran’s Tax Credit. This would include any veteran in this state who served not less than 90 days on active service in the armed forces of the United States and was honorably discharged or an officer honorably separated from service; or the spouse of such resident, provided that Title 10 training for active duty by a member of a National Guard or Reserve shall be included as service under this paragraph: provided however that the person is not eligible for and is not receiving a credit under RSA 72:28 or 72:35.
19. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen and the Town Treasurer to borrow in anticipation of the collection of taxes for the current municipal year and to issue in notes to be repaid during the municipal year from taxes collected within the municipal year.(The Selectmen Recommend This Article)
20. To hear all reports of committees and officers heretofore chosen and pass any vote related.
To transact any business that may legally come before said meeting.

Town and School Budget Hearing will be February 14th at 6:00P.M. at the Monroe Town Hall with a snow date of February 15th at 6:00 P.M. the Town Hall.
There will be a Rabies Clinic at the Ryegate Small Animal Clinic on March 23, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. The Town Clerk will be there to register your dogs. For more information call 802-633-3660
WHEN SIGNING A CONTRACT FOR USE OF THE TOWN HALL PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WILL NEED THE KEY TO THE HANDICAP LIFT. WE DO NOT GIVE THIS OUT WITHOUT YOUR ASKING FOR IT.
The Selectmen are pleased to let you know that we now have a Planet Aid box at the recycling area. You can put clothes, shoes, handbags and small toys under 3 lbs. in this box. Please secure all donations in plastic bags.
